KATHMANDU: Minister for Agricultural Development Gauri Shankhar Chaudhary laid a foundation stone for the construction of Regional Agricultural Market in Katahari of Biratnagar on Sunday.

The market would be constructed under the Project for Agriculture Commercialisation and Trade (PACT) being run by the Ministry of Agricultural Development.

PACT Director Govinda Prasad Sharma, Nepali Congress leader and former minister Mahesh Acharya, PACT Technical Advisor, community leaders, representatives of different organisations, media among others were present in the programme.

Meanwhile, Minister Chaudhary also laid the foundation stone for a livestock market in Damak of Jhapa district on Sunday.
