Chinese tourism promoted in Nepal

Kathmandu, September 20

The China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) and Tourism Development Commission (TDC) of Sichuan Province have been jointly promoting Chinese tourism in Nepal.

As part of their annual event to promote Chinese tourism across the world, these institutions had promoted their tourism sector in Nepal this year. The event this year was organised with the slogan of ‘Beautiful China, more than Pandas’.

As part of the event, an art workshop was organised in the Capital today highlighting different species of pandas found in Sichuan Province. Likewise, a separate art competition among school children was organised by CNTA and TDC and the winner was alsofelicitated.

“We have been holding such events every year in different countries and this year we are in Nepal. We basically intend to connect ourselves with tourism entrepreneurs of different nations to share our experiences and take their experiences too,” a member of the organising team said. As per the organisers, the event in Nepal will let people here know more about Chinese tourism prospects.

Organisers said that Sichuan Province offers a variety of experiences ranging from pandas and other wildlife and food items to different heritage sites listed in the World Biosphere Reserve by the United Nations.
