KATHMANDU: Civil Bank has introduced a new savings deposit scheme named ‘Sagarmatha Bachat Khata’, offering the highest interest rate of 10 per cent per annum to customers.

The savings account with a minimum balance of just Rs 1,000 offers free internet banking, ATM card, SMS banking service and mobile banking service, as per a media release.

In addition, this savings product also offers 50 per cent rebate on annual charge of safe deposit locker and comes with coverage of accidental death/permanent disability insurance of up to Rs 500,000 or four times the balance in the account, whichever is lower.

The bank’s Chief Executive Officer, Govinda Gurung stated that customers will benefit from this new savings scheme with the highest interest rate in the industry; along with other remarkable freebies.
