EBL organises AGM

KATHMANDU: Everest Bank Ltd (EBL) organised its annual general meeting (AGM) on Friday.

The AGM has approved the audited balance sheet and Nepal Financial Reporting Standards balance sheet for the last fiscal year.

It also approved issuance of 33 per cent bonus shares along with 1.74 per cent cash dividend towards tax on bonus shares, which has now raised the paid-up capital of the bank to more than Rs eight billion.

EBL also launched five new branches at Pipra (Mahottari), Biruwa (Syangja), Dupcheshwar (Nuwakot), Bansgadi (Bardiya) and Shikhar (Doti) and five new extension counters at Biratchowk (Morang), Fikkal (Ilam), Garuda (Rautahat), Lamki (Kailali) and Jhalari (Mahendranagar).

The bank also inaugurated EBL Training Academy at its head office in Lazimpat along with new e-learning mobile app ‘Saraswati’. It also released its first annual book named ‘Pratibimb’ to mark its 23rd anniversary.
