DAMAULI: River Side and Bhimad Youth Club ‘B’ advanced to the final of the Bhimad Cup Open Knockout Football Tournament here on Sunday. In the first semi-final, River Side defeated Friendship Youth Club 3-1 riding on goals from Peter, Bishnu Gurung and Bimal Basnet, while Binod Shrestha scored the consolation goal for Friendship. In another match, Bhimad made it to the championship match with a 1-0 victory over Nepal United. Afeez scored the solitary goal for Bhimad. Gurung of River Side and Afeez of Bhimad received the man-of-the-match awards.
