Gionee’s new phone

KATHMANDU: Gionee, a leading manufacturer of telecommunications equipment, is all set to launch a new smartphone model in the Nepali market — Gionee F103. The F103 comes with ‘mirror design’ (a polished glass finish back cover) and a silver metal coating frame, bound to make it visually appealing, as per a press release issued on Wednesday. The diamond shape of the phone gives it a comfortable grip. This latest dual-SIM (4G plus 4G) model from Gionee has a five-inch HD IPS (1280X720) display. The F103 is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and runs on Amigo 3.0, Gionee’s own software based on Android 5.0. The phone comes equipped with 16GB internal memory (expandable up to 128GB) and 2GB RAM. It has 3D stereo surround sound, perfect for watching movies on its 720p HD screen. The rear camera is 8MP and the front camera is 5MP. Battery power is a convenient 2400 mAh and the phone has an extreme mode that allows for 16 hours standby time and 1.3 hours talk time even at five per cent battery. The phone supports gesture control even when the screen is turned off. The F103 comes at price tag of Rs 15,999.
