Gold price rises to set new record on sixth consecutive day today

KATHMANDU: Gold price has set a new record as it continued to rise on the sixth consecutive day today.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold & Silver Dealers' Association, the gold price has gone up to Rs 70,000 in the domestic market today.

Price of the precious yellow metal had risen to Rs 68,000 and Rs 69,500 per tola, on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.

The ongoing trade war between the United States and China along with increased tariffs by the US on Chinese goods have resulted in investors flocking towards gold, which is considered a safe investment.
