KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Agricultural Development had appointed Govinda Prasad Sharma the Director of Project for Agriculture Commercialisation and Trade (PACT) under the Ministry.

Assuming his office today, Sharma has assured to work for farmers and promotion of agricultural businesses.

Sharma said he would get involved to address problems of the agricultural stakeholders.

He is one of the senior joint-secretaries at the MoAD.

Sharma has a Ph.D. in Agriculture Economics from from the Western Australia University in Agricultural Affairs.

He is in civil service for last 21 years.
