ICP collects revenue of Rs 70 million in two days

BIRGUNJ: Revenue amounting to over Rs 70 million has been collected in two days since the operation of Integrated Check Post (ICP) customs office.

The revenue was raised in the first and second day of ICP operation following its inauguration.

The check post which is being operated from Birgunj Customs Office has collected revenue from the import of fuel and exports of shoes and mats.

According to Birgunj Customs Office Information Officer Santosh Yadav, 140 tankers including 85 on Saturday and 55 on Sunday carrying petroleum products had entered Nepal from Barauni of India.

He further shared that additional employees have been deputed at ICP with growing import and export of goods via the check post.
