IFPRI to hold two-day conference

KATHMANDU: To address the challenges and explore possible options for sustainable and accelerated agriculture growth in Nepal, the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), in association with Nepal Economic Association (NEA) and Institute for Integrated Development Studies (IIDS), is organising a conference on ‘Sustainable Agricultural Growth in Nepal: Challenges, Opportunities and Options’, in here from May 29 to 30. “The conference intends to bring together policymakers, professionals, experts, representatives of farmer organisations, corporate sector and donor agencies from Nepal and other countries,” informed Anjani Kumar, research fellow at IFPRI. “The issues of structural transformation of Nepal’s economy, agricultural productivity growth, trends, challenges and prospects of food and nutrition security and role of public investment will be discussed by eminent national and international experts during the conference.”
