Investment Board Nepal gets new chief executive

Kathmandu, June 26

The newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of Investment Board Nepal (IBN), Maha Prasad Adhikari, assumed office today, according to a press statement issued by the Board. Adhikari has expressed that he will work sincerely to fulfil the IBN’s objective of attracting and facilitating investments for big projects in the country.

Adhikari also mentioned that since the establishment of the IBN, it had strengthened its organisational structure and had set up a substantial platform required for attracting investments. He stated that the IBN would work relentlessly in developing infrastructure projects as required in the country.

The meeting of the Council of Ministers, had on Thursday, taken a decision to appoint Adhikari as the CEO of IBN for a term of four years. Previously, Adhikari was serving at Nepal Rastra Bank, from where he retired as deputy governor.

Meanwhile, the IBN bid farewell to outgoing CEO of IBN Radesh Pant on Friday.
