Laxmi Bank expands

KATHMANDU: Laxmi Bank has added two more branches in the eastern and southern region at Gaighat, Udayapur and Rajhar, Nawalparasi.  Gaighat being a trading hub of Udayapur district is a strategic fit to Laxmi Bank’s goal of expanding its retail business and presence across all emerging markets.

“Similarly, Rajhar is underserved in terms of bank branches and we are pleased to play a small part in Nepal Rastra Bank’s efforts to expand access to finance in the rural parts of the country,” according to a media release issued on Wednesday. With these additional branches, Laxmi Bank is providing its services through 57 branches, two extension counters and 77 ATMs across the country.
