NT ‘airtime credit’

KATHMANDU: Nepal Telecom (NT) has announced that it will introduce ‘airtime credit’ service for its GSM and CDMA pre-paid customers.

Under this service, GSM and CDMA pre-paid subscribers of the company will get additional loan balance once the user’s main balance is finished. Issuing a press statement, NT officials said that an agreement has been signed with Hemanta Trade Centre, the local agent of Hong Kong-based Tiaxa company, to begin the airtime credit facility for NT customers within five months.

The airtime credit service allows customers to continue making their call even after the main balance is over.

However, NT has said that the extra amount that a subscriber consumes will be deducted when the subscriber recharges the next time.
