Simrik’s new flight

CHITWAN: Simrik Air has started flights on the Kathmandu-Bharatpur sector from Wednesday.

A 9N-AGI aircraft of Simrik Air that took off at 9:55am from Kathmandu touched down at 10:20am at Bharatpur airport, said Chief of Bharatpur Airport Shiva Sharma Upadhyay.

With this, the number of airline companies operating flights on this route has reached three.

The 18-seater plane carried 15 passengers while flying from Kathmandu to Bharatpur and returned with eight passengers, said Upadhyay.

The airfare set by the airlines from Kathmandu to Bharatpur is Rs 3,500 per person, a normal fare being charged by other airlines.

Until now, Buddha Air and Yeti Airlines had been operating three flights in the sector every day.
