Soaltee’s initiative

KATHMANDU: On its golden jubilee anniversary, Soaltee Crowne Plaza Kathmandu had organised various events from November 25.

As a part of its corporate social responsibility activity, Soaltee Crowne along with Nepal Metropolitan Traffic Police had conducted a five-day training programme in the month of September and November for 200 participants (airport taxi drivers) on ‘Welcoming Tourists and Road Safety’ under ‘Athithi lai Khushi Rakhau — Let’s Keep our Tourist Happy’ initiative.

Since the airport taxi drivers are the first point of contact of international guests after they arrive at our international terminals, this training covered various aspects on giving our tourists a welcome feel after they land at our airports and also on safe driving, as per a media release issued on Thursday. This training was conducted in Nepal International Airport training hall in presence of Traffic Police officials and executives of hotel. After the successful completion of the training, participants were awarded certificates. Taxi stickers were also provided to all the participants to be displayed in the front and back of their respective taxis stating they had participated in training.
