Soaltee Westend receives award

Soaltee Westend Premier Nepalgunj has been recognised with an award ‘Best Debut Green Hotel' at the 14th Hospitality India and Explore the World Annual International Travel Awards held recently in New Delhi.
The award was presented by Union Minister of State for Tourism KJ Alphons, Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale, alongside the presence of Deepak Raj Joshi, the CEO of Nepal Tourism Board.
The award was received by Chairman of Soaltee Westend Premier Dinesh Bahadur Bista, as per a media release.
Known for pioneering high-end tourism in Nepal since 1960, with Soaltee Crowne Plaza in Kathmandu, the company has taken another step by setting up Nepal's most state-of-the-art eco-friendly hotel.
Soaltee Westend Premier Nepalgunj is the first Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver Category hotel in Nepal, certified by the US Green Building Council. From the design stage to the eco-friendly energy saving practices, which reduces pollution and sets very high standard for energy-saving and eco-friendly criteria, Soaltee Westend sets a new reference point for what hotels in Nepal should be, the release states.
With additional measures like insulation, temperature calibration, elevators with regen-technology, the hotel manages its electricity, temperature, water and waste that are ecological. Equipped with infrastructure that is luxurious and eco-friendly, believing in ‘Go-ing Green' the hotel has several plants installed to help reduce its carbon footprint.
