Hari Sharan, father of pilot Prabhu Sharan Pathak who lost his life in the tragic air crash today, was waiting keenly to have tea with his son after his Josmom flight.
Hari Sharan was enjoying the pleasant weather of Pokhara with his spouse, while pilot Prabhu Sharan was busy for his third flight to Jomsom. When the aircraft reached above the air field, pilot Pathak felt some problem in the aircraft’s indicator and decided to return to Pokha-ra. While he was turning, the aircraft’s wing touched the hill and all of a sudden it was in flames. However, Hari Sharan was unaware about the mishap and was trying to ring in his son’s cell phone. He tried to call Prabhu twice, but could not contact. Mourning Hari Sharan said, “He usually picked his phone after one or two rings but his number was not reachable this morning.” Hari Sharan had arrived in Pokhara along with his spouse on Sunday to participate in a religious program-me from Tandi, Chitwan. Prabhu had booked a room for them at Hotel Bajra. Prior to working with Angi air, Pathak had worked with Cosmic and Gorkha Air. Pathak family was hoping to spend time together with their son when the news of the plane crash shocked them. They waited for the dead body of their son at Pokhara airport the whole day today but to no avail. The weather was not good enough to ferry the body to Pokhara.
The dead body was airlifted to Kathmandu via a cho-pper belonging to Nepali Army only in the evening.
