I was surfing internet‚ and suddenly experienced shaking of floor.SO i quickly ran out of my building and went to road. Saw the movement of electric poles and wires. That was my first experience on earthquake.... and yes i survived it......!

I was on the way walking to home‚ as i place my right foot on the path experiance of placing foot on mud then i place left foot on the path same feeling my foot in on mud then i saw 3 kids running then after i listen peoples cry I stopped and look ahead‚ I saw a small tree vibrating ....many people gathered on the way ...Nothing on mind ....i checked whether i am safe or not? any big building near? i checked....any wall...near me...checked...any electricity pole near? ...checked ...from every cornor I am safe‚ I feel. As earthquake stoped‚ Just remember family and returned to home ...all safe. Wounderful experiance of Earthquake.....

I work in Ncell call center. When earth started shaking I was with 150 youngsters receiving the calls. Firstly my leg started shaking then my pc. I started running downstairs. When in third floor light went off‚ I thought that was the last day of my life. Iam so happy that Iam alive. I will never forget the exhausement that I went throug.

i was outside riding my cycle.suddenly my cycle started moving. i thought my cycle had a problem.then i noticed there must be an earth quake. immediately i saw scores of people running outside. i was so afraid that i returned home in full speed.

If there is something like a false déjà vu‚ that was what I experienced on 18th September 2011‚ the day the quake shook Kathmandu. I was at Patan Museum attending the third and final day of The Kathmandu Literary Jatra. It was the final discourse of the fest where Narayan Wagle and the likes were discussing the future of Nepali language and how English is slowly obfuscating it. As I was mulling over making a conscious effort to do something about my fragmented‚ English-riddled Nepali‚ I felt the porch/veranda shake. People were walking behind continuously and since it's an old building‚ I very wrongly attributed the shake to the age of the building. Then I remembered the same thing had happened at the same place some three years back when I was on a reporting assignment. The shaking had turned out to be a small quake. As I was about to recall the incident to my friend and make a joke out of my apparent déjà vu‚ the shake began getting more pronounced. People started panicking and moving about‚ the question posed at Narayan Sir was left hanging in midair‚ and the only thing on my mind was why I always had to be surrounded by the oldest buildings in Kathmandu during quakes. Barely a minute had passed when the shaking stopped‚ everyone regained their sense of calm to a certain extent and‚ well...the Q

I was walking in the road of bagbazar‚and going inside a shop to take some stuff‚ but suddenly people began to come out slowly talking about something .till then i hadn't felt the first tremors of earthquake so i thought if there was some other incident ‚ but then after 10 seconds the second tremors came very strongly ‚during that more and more people rushed out in the road shouting and worried‚ i felt very scared and the shaking was in all direction

i was with my family and watching T.V. at 6-11pm.my chair was shaking‚I thought that due to B.P. it is happening but that was a earth quake.

When the earthquake struck i was on the floor of my room hanging with laptop‚ then suddenly a floor move like a swing here n there‚ then i suddenly notice that it is qauke‚ so i run to another room to tell my family just run away or hide on somehwere it's earthqake? then we rush to road for safe‚ so that time on home really feels that now we gonna die‚ but thank god we are people are safe n secure.

I was on my bed‚ suddenly felt someone is lifting my bed so i keep staring my bed if there is someone underbed. Then again i felt my bed was lifted so high along with sound of thrash so i got more aware and scared thinking O my god 2 or 3 thieves under my bed but even i was wondering how could they come here I was about to check and shout but suddenly everybody start shouting n running saying earthquake earthquake then after only i got to knw abt it then my heart too quake.I was with my lil newphew and my puppy.I hold them both tightly and ask mom downstairs if she is ok.Then after‚ the earthquake so horribly I got tensed for all my family who were outside n specially for lil nephew within my arms thinking I need to keep her safe anyhow I felt my responsibility. And even I felt how horrib the natural calamities are.

I got a sms from my friend telling that an Earthquake has struck Nepal

I was in my bed watching movie..suddenly the bed started shaking. I rushed out with my family in an open area . Hhh it was terrible.

I was taking part in the concluding session of Kathmandu Literary Jatra at inner courtyard of Patan Durbar. I was asking question to the people at dais‚ standing and with mic in my hand. I felt giddy. Thought it was because of weakness as I forgot to eat my lunch. People then realised it was earthquake and started panicking. I asked them not to run but come to the open space. I could not control my body and sat on the floor. Tried to tweet from there‚ but the Ncell BlackBerry service was out of function. Tried to make few calls‚ but the network was jammed. Once I thought of taking out video camera and shoot‚ but had this whirling sensation longer. The programme was disturbed for a while‚ but it was brought to an end after few minutes. I was sure it was a big quake and lasted for long duration‚ which was later confirmed by the National Seismological Centre.

i was abroad‚ but i was so worried for my family and friends. I did not realize it was so serious. Thank god everyone is safe :)

i was with my sister in bhatbhateni supermarket.we were just getting in then all of a sudden the lights went off and everyone rushed out of the market crying "earthquake ".and i was sure i was going to die coz everyone around me was shouting and crying. then thousands of birds covered the sky.and yeah i thought it was the end.dang! i'm just 18 i can't die NOW was what i thought the whole time. and i wanted to see my mother for the last time. earthquake is stalking asia!!

I was inside restroom‚ just finishing my deal. My legs shook vigorously‚ then I managed to hit flush and run away. I had heard that latches stay closed or get jammed during quake‚ but I managed to open it and saw everybody rushing to ground and join them (I was on 2nd floor) non of the preparedness measures and awareness I had came handy‚ I just rushed to safe ground. But the fear didn't settle down till late night‚ I managed to sleep only after I heard of several aftershocks following the quake. But still‚ I am bit petrified to spend my time in restroom.
