Panel formed to probe question paper leak

KATHMANDU: Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB) today formed a five-member panel under the coordination of reader Anup Shrestha, Tribhuvan University, to probe the leakage of Grade XII Physics question paper.


The committee was formed under pressure from Higher Secondary Schools Association of Nepal (HISSAN).


The Physics exam was held on May 4, but sources said that the question papers were already available in the Baneshwor and Tinkune area a few days before the exam.


Lok Bahadur Bhandari, secretary, HISSAN, said that Shivadutta Gyawali, academic secretary of HISSAN, found a four-page handwritten copy of the question paper from a student minutes before the exam, which was similar to the original question paper.


He said that the handwritten question paper has been submitted to the Office of the Controller of Examination, HSEB.


A meeting of HISSAN, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur district chapter and central committee was held today and decided to ask HSEB to reschedule Physics exam. They have also decided to draw the attention of the Education Minister on the negligence of HSEB. The meeting also decided to ask HSEB to submit an investigation report within three days.


Meanwhile, a press statement issued today by HSEB said the probe committee was assigned to submit the report within 15-days. Other members of the committee included Deepak Subedi, president, Higher Secondary Teachers Association Nepal, Dilli Sigdel, president, Nepal Community Higher Secondary Higher Secondary Teachers Union, advocates Sanuraj Pokharel and Omprakash Kumar Singh.

what??one more drama we cant stand this we have lots of other work as well and also we have to think about our further studies as well instead of hanging in 2 exam..its not easy preparing the physics again who will pay for our hardwork.if its leaked again then we will again give exam???its damn not fair

we are not like a slave to work out for physics whole life.there r lot more things to be done beside giving 2 exam forever and hissan is trying to show the oversmartness today's generation are not dumb to obey what they say.take the reexam of those who got question not the one who prepared themselves

I think there should be re exam.. Guys, this is a exam. Exam is not done in this way.. It's for testing you.. But this leakage is hampering all students... I think the exam should be re and that every students should be tested. If they did it once truthfully, they can do it again too.. Only cheaters would say no to this.. Please make this exam re.. Please

There's no any question about the re-exam of physics coz every paper are being leaked. And if re Exam is to be taken than all subject should be given chance Otherwise not. These leakage is due to neglijence of board and why the innocent student face all problem.......????????????

its not our problem that question is leaked, its the negligence of HSEB so why all the students should pay for it, and how can you guarantee that next time question wont be leaked again.. and students again have to suffer., we wont take the risk anymore,, the exam shouldnt be held again,, thats all.. its our request and sugesstion as well..
