KASKI: Minister of State for Commerce and Supplies Bishnu Chaudhary said the government was left with no option than to increase the price of cooking gas.
Inaugurating the Second National Convention of the Gas Dealers Federation in Pokhara on Saturday, he said any seller found indulging in creating artificial shortage of cooking gas in the market and selling it at a price more than the fixed price would be subject to action.
Minister of State Chaudhary said strict market monitoring would be carried out in this regard.
Some 400 representatives from 46 districts are attending the general convention which will elect the new leadership of the association. It is learnt that the general convention will also issue the Pokhara Declaration.
