DHARAN: Leaders of the indigenous nationalities today alleged that the Brahmins are solely responsible for the sorry sta-te of affairs of the country.
Speaking at mass meeting organised on the 18th Indigenous Day here, the Nepal Congress-aligned Adibasi Sangh central chairperson and former law minister Indra Bahadur Gurung held Brahmin leaders including Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Baburam Bhattarai, Jhalanath Khanal, Sushil Koi-rala, Sher Bahadur Deuba among others for pathetic condition of the country.
Gurung went on to say, “It is the same leaders who murdered the Constituent Assembly.” He asked the leaders of three major political parties to address the pressing issues of the Janajatis if at all they care for their existence.
On his turn, the disgruntled CPN-UML central member Ajambar Kangmang dubbed the Nepali Congress, UCPN-M and his own party as failed parties, and went on to argue that there is no use of the Janajati leaders staying in the parties that are entirely run on the Brahmin ideology.
Describing the CA dissolution as blessing in disguise, he said, it has provided an opportunity for the indigenous nationalities to unite. A third political force will soon emerge in the country. Various other Janajati leaders had also spoken on the occasion.
