'Federalism will break up country'

SARLAHI: Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal chairman Kamal Thapa today alleged major political parties of trying
to disintegrate the country in the name of federalism.
Speaking at his party’s gathering in Lalbandi of Siraha, Thapa said, “Just as a landowner divides his land into separate plots, similarly parties are attempting to secede the country.”
Thapa warned that federalism would plunge the country into civil war if people’s aspirations are not incorporated.
Stating that completing the new constitution by May 27 deadline was next to impossible, Thapa argued that even if the new statute was promulgated it would not guarantee the rights and aspirations of Nepali people in the true sense.
Venting ire on the parties, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal chairman held that history would not forgive the parties for squandering billions of rupees in the name of peace process.
On five-point deal struck between the parties on Thursday night, Thapa termed the deal as surrender to nationality and sovereignty. “Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal will not extend support to any government formed under this or that pretext,” Thapa added.

I don't understand why our so called 'great leaders' are harping against federalism based on identity !! Why can't they take India as a successful example of caste based federalism. Infact it developes healthy competition amongst states.Breaking up of Nepal in splinters is a far-fetched wild and negative imaginations of those negative thinking leaders!
