'Make Birgunj Tarai capital'

BIRGUNJ: People from various walks of life today participated in a rally in Birgunj demanding that the city be declared capital of the proposed Tarai Madhes region.
Locals leaders and cadres of political parties, teachers, industrialists, lawyers and mediapersons took part in the rally, which started at Ghantaghar chowk.
The 35-member struggle committee was formed last Friday. District chiefs of all political parties, chairman of Birgunj Chambers of Commerce and Industry, district chairman of construction entrepreneurs association and chairman of Transportation entrepreneurs association have been appointed as advisors to the struggle committee.
