KATHMANDU: Minister for Local Development Top Bahadur Rayamajhi has said that the ongoing road expansion campaign being conducted in the capital will be nationwide soon.
Speaking at a press meet organised in the capital on Tuesday to unveil 'Clean Kathmandu, Our Kathmandu Campaign-2068', Minister Rayamajhi said demand for road expansion in other cities was also on the rise.
"Though this move was criticised in the initial days, it will not be stopped as it has gotten a huge public support. It will take the nationwide form," Rayamajhi said.
He said the government has floated short-term, mid-term and long-term plans to make the capital city neat and clean.
Minister Rayamajhi said the government will stop all from doing politics in garbage, adding that the government searching for other alternative to the Okharpaula Land field Site for waste management.
