TAULIHAWA: Minister for Women and Social Welfare Dan Bahadur Chaudhari on Wednesday claimed that only one per cent of obstacle and suspicion were left in statute-drafting process. Speaking at the inaugural function of Taulihawa-based relay station of community radio Buddha Awaj, Chaudhari said, “Ninety-nine per cent of the statute-drafting has been completed, and therefore the new constitution would be drafted by May 27.”

Two houses gutted

PARASI: Two houses and cow sheds were gutted after

fire broke out in Parasi on Wednesday, police said. According to local Dhan Bahadur Thapa, the fire started from

the straw has destroyed property worth Rs 3 lakh including foodstuffs and clothes. The cause of the fire is yet to

be known.



Two killed in accident

RAUTAHAT: Two persons riding in a motorcycle were killed when a commuter bus heading to Kathmandu from Sinduli hit the motorcycle at Lachka area of Judbela on Wednesday. Rakesh Kumar Jha and Pappu Kumar Mishra were killed in the mishap, Area Police Office Chandranigapur said. Jha was killed on the spot, while Mishra breathed his last while undergoing treatment in Birgunj. Police have impounded the bus and arrested the driver.
