3 held with 8 quintals of marijuana in Bardibas

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested three persons with eight quintals of marijuana at Hattiled VDC-3 in Mahottari district on Friday morning.
“An on-duty police team deployed by Bardibas Area Police Office held a container van (Ba 2 Kha 1915) ferrying 839 kg of marijuana at Hattiled VDC-3 in Mahottarai district,” informed Inspector Babu Raj Khadka, in-charge at Bardibas Area Police Office.
The arrested are driver Rabindra Moktan of Ayodhyapuri-9, Chitwan and the owners of the narcotics Dil Raj Ghalan of Dandakharka – 5, Makawanpur and Prahlad Koirala of Kebalpur-2, Dhading.
The container van was intercepted while it was heading to Jaleshwor from Manohari.
Police have kept the arrested along with the container van at the Bardiya Police Station for investigation.
