3 killed‚ 40 injured in bus-tipper collision

KATHMANDU: Three people were killed and 40 others injured when a bus collided with a tipper at Sunwal of Nawalparasi district along the East West highway on Monday morning.
The deceased have been identified as tipper driver Puran Prasad Pathak (40) of Naubise, Ananta Adhikari (30) of Kailkot and the identity of the third victim is yet to be ascertained.
It is learnt that the bus was heading towards Kathmandu from Dailekh when the incident took place.
One died on the spot and the other two during the course of treatment at the Lumbini Zonal Hospital today.
Police informed that the injured are receiving medical treatment at Lumbini Zonal Hospital.
