DHANGADHI: A squad of the Nepal Army defused a socket bomb [improvised explosive device] planted inside Hotel Gyanu Plaza near Chauraha in Dhangadhi on Friday.
Normal life in the locality was terrorized following the detection of the bomb inside the hotel. Hotel staffs found a plastic bag with the bomb in it in the toilet.
It may be noted that police had some 10 days ago found bombs planted in different parts of the town, targeting traders. Though the local police administration has claimed that it has identified the gangs involved in spreading the bomb terror, none has been arrested yet.
According to the police, the people involved in extortion drive in the district might have a hand behind bomb terror also.
