KATHMANDU: England defeated Nepal by 126 runs in ACC U-19 World Cup at the Endeavour Park in Townsville, Australia on Wednesday.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, England had posted a huge 275-run target in the 50 overs for Nepal but latter was restricted to 148 all out.
Though English team displayed a superb performance, they however had lost seven wickets to the bowlers of Nepal.
Batsman Ben Duckett cracked 55 in 33 balls. Alex Davies secured 45 runs, Daniel Bell-Drummond achieved 23 runs and Sam Wood made 23runs.
Rahul Biswakarma took three wickets, while Avinash Karn took two for Nepal.
To qualify for the next round, it was inevitable for Nepal to beat England today but they failed.
