KATHMANDU: A cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister's Office in Singha Durbar granted martyrdom to those who lost their lives in Janakpur blast and decided to compensate the victims’ families, and bear the expense in the full treatment of the injured in the blast.
Government has also decided to grant NRs 1 million to the family of Binod Sharan, Ranju Jha, Jhagru Mandal and Suresh Upadhaya, who lost their lives in Janakpur bomb blast on Monday.
The Cabinet meeting also promoted Krishna Bahadur Tamang as Additional Inspector General (AIG) of Armed Police Force (APF), Prakash Krishna Bogati as Brigadier General of Nepal Army(NA), and Nirmal Singh Gurung as the Colonel of NA.
Meanwhile, the government also made up it's mind to bring the Bir Hospital Trauma Centre into operation at the earliest.
Today’s meeting of the council of minister also took decision to form a seven-member advisory board for NRNs headed by vice-chairman of the National Planning Commission (NPC).
