KATHMANDU: Vice-president of Nepali Congress Ram Chandra Poudel has said that the price hike, corruption and irregularities have flourished in the country during the political transition followed by the dissolution of the Constituent Assembly.
Speaking at a seminar on 'Existing Political Situation and Future Course' organised by Ganeshman Singh Center, Lalitpur here on Friday, he said the main agenda of the nation was controlling and rooting out corruption. Future of all the people including workers and farmers would be endangered if corruption was not rooted out from the country, he added.
The NC Vice-president said some of the forces have been still plotting conspiracies to end democracy and urged one and all to remain alert of such forces.
He claimed that the communist revolution in the name of socialism has become a failure and said democratic socialism was contextual today.
Paudel stressed on agricultural evolution through economic empowerment instead of forceful revolution in the country.
During the prgramme, NC General Secretary Prakash Man Singh stressed on strengthening the party organisation with the bottom-up approach.
Chairman of the Center, Baburaja Chitrakar, said ideals of Ganesh Man Singh should be adopted as a respect to his contribution.
