Pillion rider killed in bike accident

KATHMANDU: Jorpati area remained tensed after a pillion rider Renki Tamang (16) of Mahankal was killed in a motorbike accident on Friday evening.
Tamang was killed on the spot when a water tanker hit her motor bike at Jorpati yesterday.
The bike rider Surya Singh Tamang of Dhadingbesi-2, currently residing at Jorpati Nayabasti, was critically injured in the incident.
The irate locals had blazed the tanker and obstructed the road.
Police had fired two rounds of tear gas shells to control the mob.
Two police personnel were also injured in the clash.
The injured are undergoing treatment at Shankarapur Hospital.
Police have taken both the tanker driver and the tanker under control.
