KATHMANDU: Nepali Handball team is on Tuesday leaving for Faisalabad to participate in the International Invitational Handball Championship to be held from April 20-27. Nepali team includes Amar Shrestha, Bishal Basnet, Deepak Singh Bohora, Birendra Chand, Jitendra Chand, Bimal Thapa, Lokendra Chand, Surya Prakash Bhatta, Devendra Prasad Mainali, Ashwin Poudel and Bimal Bhatta. Jayant Kumar Sharma is the coach of the team.

Victory, Udaya thru

KATHMANDU: Victory Shumsher JB Rana and Udaya Bishwambar Shrestha entered the above 65yrs singles semi-finals of the first Citizens Bank Veterans Tennis Championships on Monday. Victory defeated Singh Bahadur Basnet 8-4 and Udaya beat Mohan Bahadur Shahi 8-5. In the above-55yrs category, Bidur Bista hammered Prem Shakya 6-1, 6-0 to enter the quarter-finals. Meanwhile, Dharma Ratna Shahi, Raju Bikram Shah, Karma Ghale, Harbinder Singh, Uttam Lama, Raju Shrestha, Prithvi Thakali, Amrit Kansakar, Dhruba Gurung, Praveen Vaidya and Naresh Gurung won their respective first round matches in the above-45yrs category matches.
