KATHMANDU: The seventh plenum of the UCPN-Maoist kicked off at Bhrikutimandap in the capital on Tuesday.
Party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal inaugurated the plenum which was scheduled to open yesterday but put off for a day due to death of some of its state committee members in two accidents in Krishnabhir of Dhading and Sunwal of Rupandehi.
Around 4,500 representatives from across the country have arrived in the Capital to participate in the plenum.
The plenum will be held for five days, according to the party sources.
