UML launches scathing attack on govt

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML on Sunday heavily criticised the Maoist-led coalition government for its failure in taking up the responsibilities related to peace process‚ constitution-making‚ good governance and prosperity.
Conducting a press conference at the party central office in Balkhu this afternoon‚ the UML leaders stressed on the need for Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai’s ouster to pave the way for the formation a national consensus government.
Only the new national consensus government and holding elections under it can rescue the country from the existing political crisis‚ they said.
Speaking on the occasion‚ party leader Bharat Mohan Adhikari said‚ “Bhattarai-led government has completely failed as it could not conclude peace and constitution nor did it provide well-being and good governance to the people.”
Though earlier it was said that party Chairman Jhala Nath Khanal would attend the conference‚ he did not show up.
According to Adhikari‚ the transition will remain prolonged as long as the Bhattarai-led government remains though it needs to be ended at the earliest for the well being of the country.
He also flayed the government for the frequent transfer of high-ranking officials‚ saying this has made a mockery of the promise of good governance.
Rampant load-shedding has also contradicted the assurance of prosperity‚ he added.

Nepal is dominated by leftist parties having almost 60% representations in the CA could not do anything as the top leaders are busy in dalali and earning money for their generations. They criticize each other to make public fool but inside all leaders are encouraging nepotism, corruption and shaking hands with rightist groups when the opportunity is suitable them. It is very easy to criticize others to show the sympathy with poor Nepalese who are facing hardships by rising prices of essential commodities. No employment, ghuskhori in every government department, without money one cannot get things done. Leaders are fighting a failed battle and trying to hang on power by hook and crook and running for the chair of PM and ministers, criticizing each other but doing nothing for the nation and its poor people. How can a country develop with this poor state of minds of political leaders and their short sightedness approach? They have no mission and vision for the country. All are on the run to loot the treasury of the country. Poor Nepalese are roaming in foreign streets seeking employment to feed their near and dear left behind. How they have been exploiting by their employers in other countries? They have no rights to raise the voice against exploitation and abuse of basic human rights. Our leaders are sleeping like Khumbhakarna. When will they awake from their deep sleep no one knows. Its shame on the part of our leaders, rulers and bureaucrats to make this country poor and poor day by day. Pray to Pashupati to give these rulers and leaders some wisdom to work for the country.
