BHADRAPUR: Wild elephants terrorised locals of Jhapa when they barged into homes and settlements in various parts of the district on Sunday.


The tuskers dismantled the house of Koshila Prasain in Chandragadi-6, Jhapa last night, according to District Police Office.


Likewise, the house of Manju Rajbansi of Duwagadhi VDC was destroyed by the herd of wild elephants.


However, human casualty was averted as people escaped to safer locations after coming to know of the attack by the tuskers.
