Women kills infant out of illicit affairs

SALYAN: Dilmaya Chalaune (26) of Siddheshwori VDC-2 in Salyan district strangulated an infant. Police said Chalaune killed the infant who was born out of her illicit relations and buried by wrapping with plastic near her home.
She had given birth to the baby last week. Police inspector Nabin Kumar Bhandari said the woman was in police custody.
However, the woman has not yet revealed the identity of the person who had sexual relationship with her.
The husband of the woman is abroad for one and a half year for job.
District Police Office, Salyan, said the trend of having sexual relation with other males and murdering the illicitly-born babies is on the rise with their husbands leaving for abroad.
A woman at Tharmare VDC in the district had also murdered an infant just one and a half month ago.
