KATHMANDU: Youth Association of Nepal close to the CPN-UML has warned of launching an agitation if the government did not take back its decision to provide facility from the state coffer to its former senior officials at the earliest.
Speaking at a news conference organised by the Association here on Saturday to make public the decisions of its three-day central committee meeting that concluded Friday, Association Chairman Mahesh Basnet demanded that the decision be immediately withdrawn.
"Otherwise, the Association would be compelled to launch a campaign against the government move," he added.
According to Basnet, the meeting has decided to hold the Association's eighth national convention on January 11 to 13 next year. Besides, the meeting has decided to fight against corruption, price hike and bad governance in the country.The meeting has also elected additional 19 members on the committee.
