HETAUNDA: Five youth were arrested on Saturday when they were carrying 25 kg hashish at Manahari in Makawanpur. Ashok Praja (15), Pramod Praja (15), Gyan Bahadur Praja (16), Ramesh Praja(16) and Raj Kumar Thing (19) were arrested from the Hetaunda bus park. Investigation into the case is underway, said the District Police Office.
Three girls rescued
BIRGUNJ: Locals of Thori, Parsa have taken under control three girls and two agents on Saturday from the Thori check point in suspicion of the girls being trafficked to Indian brothels, and handed them to the police. The agents in the name of foreign employment were taking the girls to Delhi, India, from Pokhara via Madi of Chitwan and Thori. According to the Area Police Office, Thori, the locals on Friday held Hira Bahadur Sarki of Pokhara Sub-Metropolis-1 and Mangal Bahadur Pariyar of Chitwan while they were taking Sharmila Sunar (24), Bishnu Sunar (21) and Muna BK (18) of Lekhnath Municipality-13 from Kaski towards Delhi, luring them of job in Kuwait. The Area Police Office further said it was preparing to hand over the girls to their guardians through the Maiti Nepal.
