3 other bodies removed from mustang dozer accident

MYAGDI: Three other persons who were buried to death along with bulldozer on Wednesday while constructing road has been extracted from the site on Thursday morning.

Four persons including driver of the bulldozer, Jhalak Majhi (28) of Melamchi of Sindhupalchowk were buried at Jogimara cliff of Chhusang VDC-7 in Mustang district. The bulldozer was constructing the Kagbeni-Jhaite road section along the Kaligandaki corridor.

Police inspector of District Police Office, Mustang, Rajendra Pokhrel said bodies of another driver of the bulldozer Dhruba Majhi (29) of Melamchi, Sindhupalchowk, and helper Jit Bahadur Rana (23) of Prithvinarayan Municipality-8, Gorkha, and tractor driver Sunil Kumar Chaudhary of Rajpur-6, Dang, were taken out today morning at 6:00 am.

Pokhrel said the three killed were recovered while digging out the bulldozer that was covered with soil and stones.

Inspector Pokhrel said a mound of earth collapsed on the dozer, killing all the four who were sitting in the dozer.

Lama Construction Kathmandu had been constructing the road since 2067 BS under the Rural Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Project.
