POKHARA: Two houses were destroyed and Hansapur-based Police Post developed cracks when an earthquake struck Kaski on Saturday.
Seismological National Center Chief Somnath Sapkota said an earthquake measuring 5.1 in the Richter scale with the epicenter at border area between Thumakodanda and Namarjung in Kaksi was recorded at 1:39pm today.
Sapkota informed that quake was felt for five seconds.
A two-storey house belonging to Radhakrishna Subedi at Lekhnath Municipality-10 was destroyed.
Puspa Subedi said Radhakrishna’s family are in their neighbour’s house. Likewise, Shivraj Subedi’s house at the same place was also destroyed.
No human casualties were reported.
