6 die on spot in Parbat jeep mishap

PARBAT: A passenger jeep heading to Parbat from Syangja met an accident in a rural village of Parbat last night killing six persons on spot and wounding three others.

The ill-fated jeep( Ga 1 Ja 4679) bound to Uram VDC of Parbat from Waling of Syangja, had plunged 500 metres down the road at Dharkhola in Saligram VDC-2, police said.

The tragedy took place at 9 pm, police informed.

Following the catastrophe, driver fled away the scene.

The injured are receiving treatment at local hospitals.

Those who lost their lives are from Uram VDC 4, 5, and 6. They have been identified as:

Basundhara Bhattarai,68,

Man Bahadur Basyal,64,

Bhakta Ram Thapa, 76,

Jeet Kumari Thapa,18,

Dilli Ram Basyal

Tham Bahadur Thapa,64,
