BHADRAPUR: The number of students who passed the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examinations 2066 in Jhapa district has declined in compared to the previous year, it was reported on Saturday.

A total of 64 per cent of students had passed the exam last year. However, the pass per cent is 61.83 this year, according to the District Education Office, Jhapa.

Accordingly, 8,764 students among the 15,167 students of 211 schools in the district were successful in the SLC exams this year.

Among them, 487 passed with distinction while 3,206 and 4,488 passed in second and third division respectively.
