BHAIRAHAWA: The Rupandehi District Police today took Sujit BK, the murder accused of CPN-UML leader Prachanda Thaiba, into custody for further investigation after seeking time for the same from the Rupandehi District Court. The district court agreed to remand BK for seven days at the request of Rupandehi police.
BK, former Rupandehi Young Communist League in-charge, was arrested from a guest house in Kathmandu yesterday evening. BK has been sent to Area Police Office Butwal.
Thaiba was shot dead on March 26 last year in Butwal.
Thaiba while undergoing treatment had recorded his statement that BK was involved in shooting at him.
Eyewitness Keshav Rokka also had informed that BK had shot Thaiba dead.
Kathmandu police had sent BK to Bhairahawa today to present him before the court.
