Air service closed in Mugu

MUGU: Air service the only means of transport to Mugu district, has been closed due to incessant rainfall from Sunday morning.
The Civil Aviation Authority, Mugu said that the service has been closed as the aircraft could not land due to the muddy runway at local Talcha Airport.
Hundreds of passengers who have booked air tickets are facing inconvenience due to the closure of the air service.
Mostly the closure of the air service has hit patients, tourists, officials and students.
It is said that the air service will be closed for around three months from April 17 as works on upgrading the runway have to be carried out during that period.
