KATHMANDU: Rajendra Mahato-led Sadbhawana Party has called an all-party meet in the Capital on July 13-14 to discuss and find solution to the current political problems facing the country.
In a press meet, Mahato said the two-day program-me would be attended by the chiefs of all the major parties as well as civil society members. Over 450 representatives of political parties, stakeholders including ethnic organisations will take part in the meet.
He said the objective of the event was to discuss the current problems in a candid manner and find appropriate solution to the political problems in the country.
“Some talk of exit from the government, while others talk of constitution and federalism. We want to gau-ge the mood of the nation and find out what future course of action we should adopt for the betterment of the country,” he added.
At the end of the meet, resolutions would be made and presented to national stakeholders and international well-wishers. Mahato went on to say that the representatives would discuss, among other things, the structure of federalism, judiciary, governance and the election system.
“This programme will prove to be a milestone in resolving the current political problems,” read a press release issued by the SP.
Mahato said the two-day event would be important because the resolutions that would be adopted would be free from biases of any particular party.
