KATHMANDU: Rastriya Janamukti Party today warned of ‘executing’ all those leaders plotting against federalism.

The party, whose chairman Malwar Singh Thapa is Minister for Labour and Transport Management, said that in its second round of programmes to press for federalism, the party will burn effigies of political leaders who have stood against federalism.

Organising a press conference, the party announced its second round of demonstrations to press the government for promulgation of constitution before the deadline and incorporate ethnicity-based federalism in it.

RJP leader KP Palungwa, coordinator of the protest programmes, said that the party would resort to extreme measures if second round of protests failed to make parties agree on ethnicity based federalism.

Earlier this month, RJP had to call off its three-day-long strike after Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai warned Minister Thapa not to go ahead with the protests.
