KATHMANDU: Two armed robbers barged into the house of Sushila Maskey (72) in Kalopul on Friday and attacked her with khukuri and tied her hands and legs before decamping with Rs 2.27 lakhs in cash and ornaments made up of one tola gold.
The septuagenarian was injured in the incident that occurred at around 5:30 pm. She was rushed to the Kamal Pokhari-based Himal Hospital
Police said on Saturday that Maskey has been discharged from the hospital after treatment.
An investigation has been initiated to look into the armed robbery, police said.
