KATHMANDU: The Nepali Army said on Friday that a court of inquiry board has already been formed to look into the alleged involvement of Colonel Raju Nepali in a fight with locals in Nepalgunj.
In a statement, the NA’s Directorate for Public Relations said that a three-member board, headed by Brigadier General Raj Rana, has started investigation into the incident since Thursday.
On April 15 night, Colonel Nepali had beaten up seven locals for he was locked up inside a room of a woman whom he had been visiting stealthily in Gurudwara road of Nepalgunj.

What does this sentence mean, exactly, in English? "Colonel Nepali had beaten up seven locals for he was locked up inside a room of a woman whom he had been visiting stealthily..." Instead of "for he was" the proper English should be: because he had locked himself up inside the room You guys really need an English proof-reader for your newspaper.
