House catches fire in Ason

Fire fighters and security personnel trying to douse the fire that broke out at the house of Tulshi Maiya Joshi in Balkumari, Ason in Lalitpur on Tuesday.

KATHMANDU: A massive fire engulfed a private residence at Balkumari, Ason in the capital on Tuesday morning.
The inferno, which occurred due to gas leakage at around 7:00 am, has completely destroyed the house owned by Tulshi Maiya Joshi , according to police.
Fire brigades, security personnel and locals contained the fire after three hours of continuous effort, rescue team told.
No human casualty has been reported in the incident, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Tapan Dahal.
It took long time to bring the fire under control due to narrow alleys, jumbled wires of telephone and electricity, and others hassles, police said
